Hi everyone, new member first post here. I just finished a half Warmoth Tele style build and thought I would share. The neck is a 24 3/4" conversion Tele neck, 10-16" radius with boatneck contour. The body was scratch built with the help of some friends, African Mahogany with a 1/4" maple cap, chambered sides. 4 way switch with Texas Specials it plays and sounds great. Weighed 9lbs. onmy bathroom scales. The top was dyed orange and then sanded back to get the color just right, though it looks more orange in person than in the pics. Tru Oil over the dye and on the neck.

What do you think of the Texas Specials?  I'm thinking about a pickup swap and they are on my short list.
I like them, I'm typically a humbucker guy, the only other Tele I've ever had was a Tele Plus with the 3 Lace Sensors, I like these better than the sensors but I still prefer humbuckers, the series position on the 4 way is pretty sweet though.

Gorgeous!  That dyed top does a really nice job of matching the mahogany - well done!  :kewlpics:

Thanks! It's been a long time since I did a partscaster and I still don't have a P90 guitar so probably will be building another pretty soon. It was gonna have a nice flame top but when we split the piece of maple to bookmatch it there were some real rough areas that didn't look very stable, and since I didn't have another piece dry I went with the plain maple cap.

Nice work .  I've got Texas Specials in my thinline Tele with a 4 way too . Great combo

Thanks everyone. It's been a really long time since I've had a tele and I've had to adjust to this one. My two main guitars are Heritage 150's (LP style) and this is a lot different, I have to shorten the strap a little to get comfortable with it but I'm starting to get used to it and bond with it.  :guitaristgif:
