New Gotoh bridge shipped with incorrect screws?

Hi all.  I just received a brand new Gotoh bridge to replace my existing one, and the screws it was shipped with don't fit through the holes in the bridge.  Has anybody else experienced this?  I just finished enlarging the existing screwholes (and realigning two others) in my Squier P-Bass body, only to find out all too late the screws are too big for the bridge anyway.  Damn.
