New Addition to the family

Just did a quick improv with my computer's quick cam to see & hear what it sounds like. The tiny cam mic doesn't do the tone justice, but c'est la vie...

Regardless of the tone, I can see/hear where you deserve such an axe. Good job. I'm sure you're having tons o' fun! <grin>

Video: Tone sucks, playing sucks, I need new jeans, BUT, the Parker Fly definitely doesn't suck!!!  :guitaristgif:

Parkers are a beast eh? Got the nitefly myself, most comfortable guitar I've ever owned.

The bad thing about Parkers are that the weight & comfort ruins you for other guiatrs. After playing for an hour, I switched to my chambered alder warmoth strat which weights around 8lbs & it felt like a truck fell on me. It's really a totally different feeling.

Functionality-wise, there's nothing wrong with them. I just can't get past the look.

I know what you mean. It's definitely not a traditional looking, playing or sounding guitar & not everyone's cup of tea. But I'm beginning to REALLY like it. More so than I ever thought I would.

I was more worried about the stain on the shirt from where you dropped part of your lunch on it

I remember thinking the same thing. But it grew on me, there was something about it that felt, abstract and modern, im a sucker for futuristic abstract art. kinda like the finish on petrucci's jpm. there is something really cool and abstract about it that draws me in. The guitar really is so comfortable to play, I think it really allows you to enjoy everynote and phrase you play which is great for a guitar.

I think we musicians in general are pretty conservative about what we play, and in time the Parker will go down as another great design that had all the "mass"appeal similar to the Stienberger headless axes, those things are great guitars, and sell as good as, well, Parker's.
Look at the popularity of the designs from the 50s to see we are very, well, conservative.
I really like trying out the newest and the latest, but I end up grabbing a oldfashioned Tele as my first choice, and a ES 335 clone when I want to need to sound fat.

Wouldnt mind a stienburger headless bass some point to be honest,
If Parker did basses wouldnt mind one of there purple colours they do on a bass fly  :toothy10:

There a cheap bass plexi on fleabay, a purple colour aswell, Was severely tempted by its 50 something asking price, even if it was just a toneless mindless drone of a bass  :icon_jokercolor:

you know, I always wanted one of those plexi guitars just to have a clear guitar.

They're a curious thing. Attractive, even. But, they didn't really sound that great, and they make a Les Paul feel light. You wouldn't want to play a whole set with one unless you're some kind of muscleman.
