Okay, to answer the question ACTUALLY posed, have you thought about replicating airline livery?  Or the classic paint scheme of a renowned airplane?  Spirit of St. Louis, for example, or perhaps the Bell X-1 (Glamorous Glennis)?  Bonus points for a machined aluminum top on the Tele, with the Spirit of St. Louis name and flags!

I don't know, I thought I saw a custom guitar on Ed Roman's site a few years back with the body of the guitar shaped lie n F-14 Tomcat.

That pickguard is shiny

When I saw the Thread title, I thought of heaps of shiny chrome, kinda like replicating what the old Amercian Airlines aircraft were like. The Spirit of St, Louis would do tho, on the shiny checkplate pickguard. :icon_thumright:

I think that was a Jackson custom shop guitar, if I remember correctly... :dontknow:

Personally, I've always thought of the Sopwith Camel as a cool plane (and the old, rounded look they have would suit a Tele well, I think). You can get cool bullseye going, with a nice leather guitar strap . . . :occasion14:
