Hello Forum. I am new here and new to custom guitars and I am planing out my very first custom warmoth guitar.

So far I think I want and HS Soloist guitar made out of Wanut (Gloss Finish) with a fix bridge (most likely a Hipshot fix bridge). I might go for a chamber strat instead, but I haven't decided on that yet.

I've been struggling a lot with the neck and fretboards woods. I want a nice balance tone, with some tight lows, good midrange and round highs. I've been thinking that a Bubinga neck with an Ebony fretboad will be a nice neck, by I don't know if it would work with the walnut neck.

Can you guys give me any suggestions? What wood would complement the Walnut body nicely (I like woods I can play unfinished)

Thanks a lot

Now that roasted Maple is available, I would consider that.

I went with Indian Rosewood/Macassar Ebony for my Walnut body. (Though I have a thick Bubinga and Maple laminate top over it, contributing to its resonance.) It sounds rather warm and woody, for a superStrat with a floating trem.

I've used both mahagony / ebony and walnut / ebony necks with walnut bodies .  The mahagony /ebony adds a nice fullness to the tone .
