I have read several posts regarding neck relief (or lack thereof) on some necks even with the truss rod slack. I find myself in a similar spot. The solution I heard most mentioned was putting on a heavier set of strings and/or tune up a step or so (putting extra pressure on the neck to bow) for a week.
My questions before I try it:
1) Has anyone done this with success or caused another problem?
2) Will the heavier set of strings affect the nut slots?
3) Anything else to watch out for that someone came across?
