Hi
I've a nice pauferro neck, nut 1 5/8" std thin.
It' s ok but....it' s very small!
"Like a fender std neck"... In my opinion, absolutely no
(I've a fender strat made in usa too).
I don't now...
Could be the thickness of the nut (1 5/8) to give me this feeling? I don't no (n.2 :p)

I would a new neck, 1 11/16" nut ok, but...'59, SRV, clapton, Boat, Fat, Wolfgang or standard?
I love the profile of my strat maple neck and I want a warmoth neck like that

There's only one sure-fire way to know exactly which profile you want: pull out those calipers and measure!  :icon_thumright:

Clapton,  '59 or Wolfgang before measure.
Tomorrow I try with a caliper, if I remember where it's  :icon_scratch:

If you feel that the standard thin is waaaay too small for you, consider going to a 1 11'16" nut width, which to some people is like nite and day, others like me, don't really matter.

The Clapton is more of a "V" neck, but the 59 is a nice compromise between the Std Thin & perhaps a Fat.  I think the best compromise is actually the SRV though because it adds the bulk on the bass side of the neck and is still a tad thinner on the treble side like a STD Thin, this asymetrical contour is also pretty popular with guys who wear their guitar down at the waist & wrap their thumb over the top.

For me, after 20+ years on Wizard style slim necks, I'm headed for the 59 as my nest larger profile, & moving from a 1 5/8" nut width to 1 11/16".  This adds more mass to the neck in a subtle way, mass= stiffness & resonance.  This also works for my newer headstock design because it allows the D & G tuners to get closer together on a 3x3 headstock for a straight string pull.

the first time i played a fender tele, the neck felt so awkwardly tiny to me and i realized later that it was because of the nut size. it was 1 5/8"
i eventually got a '59 with 1 11/16" and thought it had great feel. I eventually got an SRV neck, (different woods and also fretsize) and while it feels good, it still feels a tad thin to me and I'd personally rather have the '59.
so my recommendation is going to be the '59. but it's definitely the kind of thing you gotta try one to figure it out.

You say the right: I should try to judge.
But, I'm the only one in my region to buy from Warmoth...
I'm a sort of.... pioneer  :toothy10:,
so, **to try = to buy** for me :dontknow:

However I think that a 1 11/16 nut can change my feel ...
(i'm ok with a strat, with a Jem and with a fat '50 neck of a Gibson les paul. Only the pauferro neck with nut 1 5/8 i don't love...)

Although, the best: 1.650" and 0.810" a 1st,  0,930 " at 12th
(like my Suhr classic).
So I go on a 1-11/16 nut + '59 warmoth neck (all indian rosewood, fantastic!!!)
Then you say?

Care to share that design? My VIP build desires a 3+3 headstock with straight pull.

I'm slowly changing my mind.
I think that i don't need to take a FAT or BOAT neck  :laughing3:;
only a std neck with nut 1 11/16".
Maybe in full rosewood.

I love the SUhr neck profile but, I  must (and I want) change and experiment.
full rosewood neck + swamp ash or alder body (light)
