Neck Ordered...

I've decided to go in a different direction with my Mooncaster build. Still a tribute, but.... I will update elsewhere soon.

In the mean time, I placed an order for the neck:

I'm hoping the Birdseye is kinda on the darker amber side, I put my preference in the notes, but I understand how it goes. Now, if any Warmoth employee on the forum can point the production dept in the right direction, I would be eternally grateful!

In any event, I'll follow up with new mock-ups soon.

That neck sounds like a beauty. There should be a nice contrast between the birdseye and the ebony.

Yeah, I thought so too. Then today I remembered that this neck is going to be paired with a moderate flame top body. (Yes, there was alcohol involved in the decision....) As much as I like birdseye, I'm now a little concerned with how it would look against the flame!

With that in mind, I sent Spike an email today asking if it was still available to make a change to the order. (As it was only placed a few days ago, I'm thinking it didn't get into production yet.) I'd like to go from the birdseye to roasted flame. (This was my original plan, but as I said, alcohol...... :laughing7 I'm thinking the flame would be a better match, and the roasting would take care of the amber color I'm looking for.

Warmoth. Offset, like the body.

Happy to say that Spike was able to change my neck order to Roasted Flame Maple. I feel much better about the match-up now.  :icon_thumright:
