Hi,

I own a P-Bass@ Deluxe (4 strings, bought in '95 and frets get worn, 22 medium jumbo frets).
You can view here, it's the same model : http://www.musicstore.de/en_EN/GBP/Fender-Am.-Deluxe-P-Bass-MN-3-Colour-Sunburst-incl.-Case/art-BAS0001742-001

I see none of Warmoth necks can fit the body because of different dimensions :
"
P. Bass® Deluxe, J. Bass® Deluxe, P. Bass® Special, P. Bass® "Lyte"
Some newer Fender basses feature 22 fret necks. Warmoth does not currently offer necks to fit these basses
"

It's strange because Warmoth offers a wide range of necks, owns a CNC, and can't offer a P-Bass@ Deluxe or J-Bass@ Deluxe neck...

If Warmoth has a CNC, how come they can't do such necks? I doubt it's a craftmanship issue...

Is it a licence problem?

Honestly, how many orders do you expect Warmoth to get for such a neck?
In order for Warmoth to offer a product, it must be something that is going to sell reasonably well.

Do you think it's profitable for Warmoth to spend all the time and money to develop a neck that only a handful of customers are going to buy?

I have a jazz bass deluxe.. was thinking about a new neck for it.. guess no worries on that now.. I'll just have to build a brand new bass!  :icon_thumright:

That's what I thought, too few customers with P/J-Bass Deluxe ! A bit stupid to buy a licence in that case, I agree.

Thanks for your answer !
