aww renaults are cute, especially the 2cv
anyway, my first 2 cars were fiats, one of them was a panda!!

same thing.. french car  :icon_biggrin: actually, I was thinking about the Renault 4, my mum had one when I first got my drivers license..
but the 2CV's are cute too.. my uncle always drove them and got hit by a volvo once.. the volvo had a tiny scratch while the Citroen was all wrinkled up like an accordion

I wouldn't lump all french cars into the crap category. I think one exception is Peugeot. My dad had a couple of different models of theirs and they were far and beyond any other french autos I've driven. That's not to say they're anywhere near the category of German or Japanese engineering though.

That's not to say they're anywhere near the category of German or Japanese engineering though.

peugeot is part fiat, well more alpha romeo not that there is a difference most of the chassis is alpha romeo componants on the older ones. not that italian cars are known for the engineering and reliability but the design is usually spot on. a girl i knew had a peugeot and it was always breaking down but it was a very good driver for a 4 door sedan.

We had 2 Alfa Romeos as well, but that was back in the days when everyone wasn't making parts for each other. They were more performance based sportscars than the Peugeots (i.e., rougher ride, tighter suspension, hi-rev rpm engines).
