Sprayed with Zissner aerosol clear lacquer (de-waxed).  I did 4 light coats just as a sealer.  I'll begin the lacquer coating process this weekend and will be using the Min-Wax Satin aerosol.  This pic was after 2 coats.  It's a pretty even color at this point and I'm hoping the lacquer will complete the "look".

I saw a Fender model Tele and Strat at Guitar Center that seemed to have the grain unfilled with a satin natural finish and loved it.

On an off topic note... What's the preferred method of posting images on here?

Host remotely, post the image using the
img.gif
icon button and the url to the remotely hosted image.  Flickr, imgur, your own hosting, whatever - but posting images as attachments is clunky and doesn't look as good as inline images.

Good luck with your first build. I take it you meant that you used de-waxed shellac as a sealer, right?  :icon_scratch:

Welcome to the forum.

I assume 10 -16" that was mentioned for the neck is the radius, but what is the scale length?
