Thanks Michael! You know I probably said it the wrong way. I actually took the 7 string body and asked Warmoth to please fit a six string neck onto it so that's what I meant by modding. It is a walnut wizard profile neck with the compound radius standard six string.

I think your idea is killer though. Just do it!

Five strings, three saddles work for you?

Should be put together tomorrow or Tuesday. The stem of the push pot was a bit short so I may have to get one with a longer stem or put in a mini switch to split the colis. I really don't want to do option B though. I'll record something and post it. Can't wait to hear the combination of pickups.

If you do run into problems with  the matching of the pickups' outputs, it's not hard to add another volume control. I am a big fan of the Lawrence L500 pickups - with a bit of switching and care in the selection of other parts, they can sound like any other pickup you want them to. But, I also like the neck PU single-coil Strat sound, and the only way to get them to play nice together is with separate volume controls. It's a bit finicky onstage, but I grew up on the Gibson four-knob setup and you just get used to it. Versatility trumps caveman simplicity, in my mind.

That's pretty awesome, that fretboard is over the top..Probably one of the coolest i've seen... :icon_thumright:

Wow, I LOVE the way the white back of the body contrasts with the Zebrawood top, awesome!  :hello2:  :hello2:  :hello2:

Thanks! Should be ready tomorrow unless I have to wait for the longer stem pot. Can't wait!
