Well I've had it for a couple weeks now, and I'm finally getting around to recording some clips.  Guitar used is my Warmoth Strat on voice 2 (Fender Bassman) with just a touch of delay on the lead signal.  Tell me what you think!

I used the onboard mics on my BOSS BR600 and a generic drum loop from the same.  My Strat also needs a setup; you can hear it fretting out in the upper registers, and my technique is also very sloppy.  I tend to play much better live than when I try to record and I've no idea why.  I guess I just think about it too much.

I didn't notice but I have the same trouble. As soon as I hit the record I start screwing it up. It's a mental thing.

That's cool - the sound is pretty sweet for onboard mics. I never would have guessed.

Yeah the sound quality is unreal on those onboard mics.  You can hear a bit of digital distortion because I had the recording volume set too high on the rhythm track, but it not too bad.  Also, this is a testament to Rio Grande pickups.  I don't remember who it was that asked if they could still quack/cluck (being overwound and such), but as you can hear from this recording, they got it in spades!

Lol, I highly doubt that, I've heard some of the players here, and they are MUCH better than me.

Aww, man don't sell yourself too short.  Sounds good to me.  Tell me a little more about the amp, I have seen them around a little, but don't have the specifics, other than that it is a 15 w tube amp with effects built in and something about pre-amp voicings??  Sounds kind of cool.  Well anyway, I hope you are diggin it man, and it sounds good from here.

Nice tone man!  :icon_thumright:

I think the best part of digital recording is having nobody complaining about the cost of the tape running when the session goes long.

Most of the kids on this board don't know what tape is...

The old Ampex mastering decks were notorious for speeding up as the reel ran out. One example I'm familiar with is the first Blue Oyster Cult album. I used to play along with that one as a pup, and by the last song my guitar would be tuned to just a hair above F.
