I hate going against someone else's vision for their guitar, as it is their guitar. But I do agree with the consensus here, loose the black burst, or at least make it a transparent black/brown/clear.

I like the 3 steps, they seem to look more natural. Part of a guitars finish is how it appears to the eye, the other part is the custom [art of how it looks for you. The build I m doing has been influenced by members of this board as they have tried so many things, or seen them tried. I do mock ups of what they say, but take weight in the suggestions..
