My DIY is DEAD

I had an idea to do custom finish on a nice Warmoth body, and decided to start with an old chipboard guitar I had lying around as a practice.  After months of stripping finish, sanding, sealing, painting drying etc, this "practice" project really wormed it's way into my heart.
I had the body hanging up for a couple of months to harden the clear coat prior to final sanding and buffing...when..I go to check on it today and find it has fallen from off it's mount :sad:  There's two really bad spots where th finish has been chipped back right to the wood, and some really bad damage on the heel. Totally devasted after all the effort that went into it. Not sure if there's any point finishing it now.

I saw the pictures, and thought the dog had gotten to it. If nothing else, you have practiced MOST of the finishing technique, and could try it with even better results on a Warmoth.  :guitarplayer2:

that sucks.  That was alway a fear of mine to the point I placed "soft" items for it to land on if they ever fell.

The flowers look cool.  By the looks of the wood, it was in pretty bad shape to begin with.  Looks like it may be time to RELIC!

still looks cool to me - I'd use it. It doesn't need to be perfect.

If you don't have the energy to do it all over again, finish it as it is and see how it turns out! You might even go for a worn, heavily gigged version instead... would probably still look cool
