I had an idea to do custom finish on a nice Warmoth body, and decided to start with an old chipboard guitar I had lying around as a practice. After months of stripping finish, sanding, sealing, painting drying etc, this "practice" project really wormed it's way into my heart.
I had the body hanging up for a couple of months to harden the clear coat prior to final sanding and buffing...when..I go to check on it today and find it has fallen from off it's mount  There's two really bad spots where th finish has been chipped back right to the wood, and some really bad damage on the heel. Totally devasted after all the effort that went into it. Not sure if there's any point finishing it now.
