Musicians Institute

I'd go a step further and say that (almost) anywhere else you go, you're probably going to be studying more music theory-type things than pure guitar playing. If you enroll at Temple University, Paul Gilbert won't be showing up.

Again it doesn't make a huge difference if you don't think you're ever going to use it for anything else, but you might wind up wanting to teach or going into some other vocation later. You're shelling out essentially college tuition money so it would be nice to have college credits that can move if you need them to is all. If I were you I'd be looking at every music program in the US & Canada to find the right place.

Yeah I've been doing a lot of research in the past year for the right school but there's not much of them where you can actually play electric guitar.

I have a diploma in visual arts so it's not like I needed a degree that badly. I guess it allows me to be a little more picky about the school I want to go.

Doesn't really matter then. But for 20k you could probably have Paul G come live at your house for a year

London is AWESOME and super easy to get around on the Underground. Not sure how affordable but probably cheap in the nearby burbs.

Not needed Max. Lol you know I make about a 3rd of my living on Photoshop myself right?

Mayfly's right on that one...downtown can be pretty sketchy at times.  I had a girlfriend that lived about 3 blocks from McEwan and we used to sit on her balcony and play the drinking game of see a prostitute drink one shot, see a drug dealer drink two...all said and done though, I love downtown.  Whyte Ave is great fun also...guitar shops, overpriced vintage shops, cliquey girls...and if you're into old video games, comics, and toys, check out the Old Strathcona Antique Mall.  Lots of old records as well.  I'm kinda droning, so I'll shut up hah
