Anybody revisiting any performers they had either listened to from years ago or discovered someone new that knocks you out? This week I stumbled across some original Foghat from the 1970's and not only realized how much I loved this band at the time but how incredible Rod Price and Lonesome Dave really were. Lordy, that was one hard workin and tight blues rock band that didn't just blather away in their solos, they had taste and took you somewhere from start to finish. A humbling lesson for me, I'll tell you. From the same era someone I didn't know about at the time and would not have gotten that I am listening to these days is Rory Gallagher. Wow.

It would be great to know who else has had any recent epiphanies.  :headbang4:

Had at least 1000 vinyl records from starting back in the late 60's up to the advent of the CD in the 80's. Recently re-purchased Live in the Air Age by Bebop Deluxe, Cosmo's Factory from Creedence Clearwater Revival, and Fishbone's self-titled debut EP. They all stand the test of time quite well, I'd say.

Ah Bebop Deluxe, I can't remember who shared them with me back in the day but they had good playing that broadened my horizons beyond the hard rock I was into at the time.
