It seems to be a restriction since I last got a neck with MOP, anyway I saw a neck in the showcase today but with MOP I would be out of luck.

I don't remember the exact timing, but there are quite a few things that are now restricted for international shipping. Several species of wood, plus organic materials like MOP and Abalone are all taboo now.
Seems like a lot of these restriction were put in place around the same time the CITES ban on Rosewood happened.

FYI, Warmoth is actively looking for synthetic alternatives to some of these materials, so that we can continue to have offerings for international customers.
Honestly, it's a long, difficult process....way more difficult than you would think. In fact, we almost had a really cool new inlay material ready to offer. We had done all the R&D, things were looking great, we expected to start offering it this month, and then - right at the finish line - we had supply problems. Got those worked out, and then - discovered that the material was doing some strange things we hadn't noticed before.
After months of work, we were right back at square one. Ugh. :doh:
But.....we are trying, so don't give up hope. :icon_thumright:

Thanks, I will just have to keep a lookout for inlays I can order and possibly customize later. Or none inlays.
That is the thing with design, you end up revisiting things. I just thought I had a whole load of things ready at work and now the manufacturer has a later version which would work better so lots to be redone. Keeps me off the streets though.
