Hey W Gang,

If you are ever in Phoenix and looking for something to do; go no further.  Head towards the Musical Instrument Museum!!!
I went yesterday for the first time and found myself amazed.
I could not guess how many different instruments they have on display.
I spent 3 hours there and saw about half of the museum, and that is pushing it.

Music is the language that crosses through all cultures.
It is truly amazing how many different methods people have developed to put strings on some object, blow through some object, or pound out a rhythm on some object too create music...

I want to show you some of the "guitars" as we know them that are on display.
Guitars, as we know them, are really only a small fraction of the instruments created around the world that are on display.

To the W mediators, I hope that I am not exceeding my boundaries by posting so many pics.
It just seems like something our folks might like to see.   Enjoy...

Looove those National Glenwoods....... :headbang:

Wouldn't mind having a bash on Dick Dale's Showman amp, that thing would have some serious thump! :icon_thumright:

That's funny, my wife is at the MIM with her parents right now. We've been meaning to check it out, but haven't had the time when both of us could go yet. I'm quite looking forward to it.

Bah... my new Line 6 modeling amp and Ibanez RG series guitar blows all that old crap away.   :party07:
