Thanks, man. I won the auction though. Speaker should be here tomorrow. Woohooo!! You know, I really like the thought of a custom piece but I would never be comfortable looking over and seeing "Mesa" on the head and some other name on the cabinet.....and vice versa. One of my quirks having matching pieces.

definitely check them out though :+)

Just checked out Avatar's home page. Nice looking stuff up there. I'm really liking the look of their vintage series speaker cabs.

Nice to see Boogie making a small amp again! Very cool!
Seems I like the old smaller amps than the big ones of yesteryear.
I got a Subway and like it alot. Would be interesting to try one of those!

The 1x12 Mesa slant cab arrived this morning and I got a chance to take her to the studio this afternoon for band practice. There's a reason Mesa is so expensive....it's because they make such a great product. I used my Music Man and the tone is just so warm and fat. I love it!!!!!

bet purchase ever

I was going to suggest the 50watt compact EVH 5150 III, then I heard a couple demos of them and they're simply awful. I'm not sure if I've come across a Mesa that could sound half as bad as the III.

I was seriously considering the 5150 III Mini but that went sour on me when I heard "Made In Vietnam". Myself? I thought it sounded pretty good.....through YouTube mind you. But, "Made In Vietnam"......no thanks.
