She's nearly done, just setup and pickup balancing left.

Quilted maple top, Alder chambered body
Quilted maple neck with rosewood, compound radius, 24.75" conversion, standard thin, SS6105 frets
Hardtail bridge
Duncan Everything Axe pickups wired through StewMac megaswitch with auto coil splitting
Red transparent dye

She's very bright and musical. Maybe even a little too bright in postions 2 and 4 (coil tapped). If I can't tone her down a little with pickup balancing I just might rewrire with out the coil splits. There are also a couple places in the body I want to polish out more. Overall I really like this guitar, she plays like butter.

Ooooooh, that's a very nice looking guitar you have there.  :icon_thumright:  :hello2:

If the pickups in the positions 2 & 4 are still a bit too trebly after repositioning, maybe try to insert an extra cap at the switch (for those positions) so that when those positions are engaged, there's an extra cap toning down the treble end?

Although, with a Vox amp, you'd be getting ample treble - in single coil mode that may be accentuated?

Thanks guys,

I tried balancing the pickups, it didn't do much except change volume. I'll probably just remove the coil splits, it's just too thin sounding in position 2 and 4. Adding caps may bleed off some treble but probably won't do anything to thicken it up.

Very nice, I like the pup set up...But I'm sure DBU's busting at the seams to tell you to get some EMG's... :glasses9:

Shut up Doug....  I'm surprised you havent chipped in with something about sticking a Floyd on it  :icon_tongue:

It's the Tele I built about 10 years ago. It has a WD Music body and neck, Duncan 59 in the bridge and a Hot Rails in the neck. It's cream color with a black pickguard. My next project (after the L5s) is to rebuild that Tele. I've never liked that pickup combo (originally it had P90s) much so I think I'm going to turn it into either a real tele or a tele with a TV Jones in the bridge and Tele pickup in the neck. BTW, that's a 57 replica vintage neck, soft V, vintage frets, 7.25" radius. It's one of the sweetest necks ever.

Thank you. The pots are 250K as recommended in the SD wiring diagram. Yes, it's just one master tone.
