They said "We would like you to give a presentation to the other departments that shows what you guys do."

I dinked around with Power Point for about .5 seconds, and said "This is dumb. This isn''t what we do in the web department. This doesn't represent us. But you know what we do do here? Videos!"

uhuhuhu....I said "do-do".

Clearly you need to dump your Web developer Pascal for one named Ruby or Perl.

Verrrry silly stuff, Aaron, but at the same time I can definitely appreciate the value of the information you provide here as an explanation to your colleagues what the hell it is you do in the remote fastness of your 2nd floor cube in Building 2.  Transmitting information in a work environment with humor is a delicate art in this day and age and you nailed it.

Left me breathless! I laughed, I cried... Destined to become the mudshark in your mythology!

Yep, silly...bordering on dumb.

The whole thing came about because each department was asked to give a tour for the other departments. Most of them are doing visually cool/interesting stuff, like shaping wood, spraying paint, cutting pickguards. Conversely, the web department stares at computers. We figured we would try to "repackage" that with a more interesting label.

I can only imagine Ken's reaction at first response.

Sublime.  And you two are resplendent in your professional attire.  Googling "Pickle Rick" now.

DoubleAA I liked your web development video it captured the aura of the department. But if I could add only one thing in I would say it needed more Cowbell. Just wasn't enough Cowbell for my taste. plus I think you should have featured the marketing poster somewhere in the video.  :headbanging: and why don't we have any Cowbell emojiis?

I remember a time when there was no web department.  There were ads in magazines, and you filled out a form, and mailed a check, no videos, we made mix tapes ...  Am I that old?

:band:

Ah... The era of, for kids, the cardboard tanks and polaris-launching submarines, and for adults, black powder derringer kits and plans for nuclear powered death ray devices. And X-Ray glasses of course. Yes, you are that old.
