Hey Cagey and jmcecil....just thought you might like to know: about 10 minutes ago I was holding both of your new necks. I wanted to take another look at them before they went bye-bye.

All I can say is...Dang. You guys scored.

How those managed to get out of here I will never know. Those are the kinds of necks employees snatch up before the public ever sees them.

On another note: I also just held the most uniformly and deeply flamed Mahogony neck I have ever seen. It's going to the finish department now for clear gloss. The listing department is under strict orders to notify me once it is done, and before it is listed for sale.  :glasses9:

Good to hear. You're blessed with being able to see a lotta fantastic parts go by, so impressing you has got to be a little tougher than it would be for most.

I'm surprised to hear they're moving so quickly. I'm really looking forward to seeing this thing.

I had no intention of doing anything for awhile as I recently spent too much on a couple of acoustic guitars.  But those necks were pretty much what the minds eye sees when you dream about roasted flame maple.  I have a body in mind too.  But, that will have to wait for sure ... well maybe  :help:

What's the fingerboard?  I am looking for something killer for a celluloid strat I am putting together.  Those flames were nice but I cannot get past the cream and black face dots....
