I read the first, middle, and end of this thread and it started off with wanting to move, then it was about stereotypes, now about baldness...I am not even going back to see how it took this last turn.

I like turtles!

I was thinking about this yesterday too, I had actually started writing a reply about baldness before I came to my senses  :icon_biggrin:
This forum is so much fun sometimes!

They're freaking NINJAS.  I doubt anyone would be able to spot them, let alone notice what color their masks are.  Plus, their turf is the sewer... I don't think anyone is gonna fight them for that.  And yes, the Eastman & Laird/Mirage Studio Turtles are way cooler than the Archie version.  Although, I did love the 80s cartoon as a kid.

I know, we are so eclectic sometimes it amazes me, and we all seem to do it without life threats

PS, how often have we highjacked this thread? We are insane.

wow my spelling was horrid on that post.

ok fair enough, they just better hope that steven segul and chuck norris also dont like the sewers and dont confuse the masks as gang colors. because we know how good both those guys are at killing gang members and ninja's

After seeing Steven Segal in teh Movie Machete I do not think hee will be doing any Ninja tricks soon, to much middle section to push around

Yeah, but they have Splinter on their side.  Also, they probably have super powers, since all they eat is pizza and they never get fat.

that's not a super power, that's a symptom of skatboarding and smoking pot for people under 25. i never met a fat skateboarder or one that didn't smoke tons of pot.

I dunno, Riverside is getting kinda ghetto these days too... Casa Blanca is pretty horrific.  Most of Fullerton is really nice, I just live in the bad area because I ain't got no money.

We're still waiting on my possible promotion and my husband's possible new job... hopefully we'll know by May what is going to happen with that.  Then we're out of here.

Living in Green Bay was odd due to the fact that ghetto could happen in the course of a block or which side of the street it is. It was literally a pacthwork--all it took was for one guy on a block to be selling dope or someone not asking a lot of questions when they approve someone for rent. In my apartment in Green Bay, you always knew when an apartment was being shown, due to the fact that the front door would suddenly start to lock again, and the molding was nailed back up. My landlord was a sleazeball--you had to call the city's housing authority to have him written up before he'd come to fix anything, but he'd be all over you like stink on s**t if his bookkeeper wouldn't log down the rent, which then forced you to show your bank records to verify that the cheap SOB did indeed deposit your check.

The worst was when he didn't fix the front door for three months, and a homeless guy was caught sleeping in the basement and taking a BM in the trashcan by the washing machines. Myself and four other tenants in the building put our rent into an escrow account until he brought the building up to speed. He tried to evict all of us for that, but the state came in and told him that we were 100% legal in our actions.

I like stories like that.

Yikes, that's crazy.  I'd probably just move if our manager was like that.  At least we have a good manager at our complex.  It's the complexes around us that have most of the questionable people.
