Mary Kaye for nullref

Wow, shooting lacquer in this kinda weather in California?  Must be drier in Gold Country than it is over here in the Bay Area.

Always drier inland than near the bay.

When I lived in Concord, I could definitely tell a difference from when I lived in Sonora or Modesto.

Well it was raining just as hard in Modesto yesterday. I just throw in some extra lacquer retarder and as soon as the guitar is shot it is placed in a heat controlled room.

When I sold paint we use to freak out when the painters would apply lacquer in cold damp new homes and the painters would just laugh at us and ask if we never heard of lacquer retarder. I learned a lot from those old geezers and now I are one.

Actually I decided to be a young man at an old age!  :icon_thumright:

I too have just decided that when I get older I wanna be a young man.

Here it is after a couple melt coats of clear. This is a fine looking guitar, I am not going to enjoy sending this one home!

It looks fantastic!  I wonder how the front side turned out...    Thanks Greg!  :occasion14:

The front turned out great! I love this guitar but it is now safely packed in a box ready to head home. I do look forward to seeing it all put together so I'll just have to enjoy pictures of it.

Yes, it does look great! Always a little sad to see the babies leave the nest.
