Maori Tribal Sea Turtle

88-D10 is the model designation of the burn module. There are dozens of burning tips to choose from, depending on what you want to do...I use a 'small knife' for my fine lines--reproduces pretty well the fine-point rapidogragh pens that I illustrate with, and then a 'writer' tip, which I use to do stippling and fill in larger areas. And I've burned on pretty much all the typical guitar body woods, and they all work well for burning. Hope that helps...

That's just beautiful, Mr. Ape.  I haven't forgotten our discussions - once we're past the cash hemorrhage associated with our move to another state, I'll be looking at renewing our talks.  I have a naked rear-routed tele crying out for the iron.

Thank you, gentlemen; I'm humbled and further inspired by your comments...(...and a naked Tele will nver do! :laughing7:)

Helps a lot. Thanks for taking the time to explain and thanks for the beautiful inspiration. Going to be awhile before I can afford to build another guitar with school going on and all but the wheels be turning!

...why does a dedicated slide guitar need a whammy bar...

Just, umm, checking. I'm great fan of the idea, I have three guitars which pretty much stay dedicated. If you just make a few different nuts for each guitar, they pretty much all can be. Though if you really go hardcore, the medium flatwounds are quite a joy too.

Doesn't ''need'' a whammy--that's the body I wanted, I'll just lock the bridge down with 5 springs, raise the action a bit, an' BOOGIE!!  :icon_biggrin:

Great work as usual. I think this one is my favorite so far. Not because my pickups are in it, which I am honored to be, but I love the art and the turtle theme. The turtle is like the owl of the ocean. Long lived, gentle and wise. A traveler of the sea, caretaker of the tides.

I like your thinking "traveler of the sea, caretaker of the ocean." You  got some good sounding pickups too. Just listened to your strat style single coil sound clips and they sound awesome! Nice work  :rock-on:

Doesn't that make for some slow walking?  :tard:

I don't think I've ever seen turtle boots. Beetle boots yes, turtle no...

*end thread derail*
LOL....Down here in Texas we'll make boots from anything... :toothy10:

Texas...A truly scary country...

  TURTLE BOOTS!?!
LOL, yes we are. Actually I've only seen one pair, and they were sea turtle. But not to worry, no animals were harmed in this movie. They were made with previously deceased varmits. And sea turtles are now protected.

But yes, if it moves, someones made some boots out of it... :toothy12:

And just to reiterate, artwork is just feee-nominal Greg... :rock-on:
