What is Malagsy rosewood? I seen it on some showcase items but there are nothing about this on the "wood description" page. Is it Madagascar rosewood?

malagasy --- alert correspondant Allan Philip has pointed out that "Malagasy" is just what the natives of Madagascar call themselves, so "malagasy" rosewood is madagascar rosewood. I will move these pics to that page at some point

malagasy is very much like braz. rosewood in density,but has a less interesting figuring. funny though, I have seen a lot of  BRW that had no extravagant figuring, and BRW with alot of figuring, same for malagasy...thats the shit with these kind of woods. you have to use a DNA test to see which wood you have, if you wanna be certain!

The malagasy is always pictures with that more light brown redish color... Brazilian can vary very much, sometimes having that color, but usually dark brown or little lightier, but darker than Malagasy
