I've been trying out some riffs and doing some recordings and thought I'd try my hand at capturing some of this on film and sharing it with you guys.

Excellent! Nice tune, nice tone and nice playing! Good job on the video editing too, well done on all counts  :headbang:

Very nice, Logrinn!  Verne Bunsen put most of what I wanted to say into words, already.

I'll just add that I loved the visual effects.

I also would have liked to have seen your playing on the solo.  It sounded great!

Is that an original composition?  I haven't heard it before.  Either way, I liked it.  Nice groove!

Thank you Doc.

Yes, it's something I wrote a month or so ago. I redid the guitars with the Warmoth yesterday and when it came to the solo I had some ideas - the beginning - and then I just improvised. I did a few takes and eventually got this that I kept. The filming came after and I realized that it was too much work to figure out what I played during the solo - it was a very loose and fluid take - and that it would be hard to duplicate it for the camera. Hence these editings.
But it came out pretty good in the end I think.  :guitaristgif:

Just saw your Dimarzio DLX video - great lead technique - you conserve movement.  That's something I need to learn.  I'm full of bad habits.

Thanks very much.  :eek:ccasion14:

Yes, I've been trying consciously to use minimal movements for a very long time.
I've found that when I work on some difficult passages I succeed better when I relax more. Almost to a point where I'm almost not touching the strings (I'm talking about my left hand here). And as a bonus I seem to move the hand and fingers less. It just seem to work well for me.
