Magnetic Hex Pickup options

Ok, so I have a 13 pin connector already in my guitar. And I think it might be more cost effective to just use a magnetic pickup with my Yamaha G-50 than to find something that works with my piezos (boooo!)

The GK3 externals are MUCH cheaper than the internal kit - just because of vendor options and availability, but I don't want a contraption hanging off the guitar that looks like a techno version of a bigsby.  Are there any other magnetic hex pickup options out there? Anyone converted the external kit to internal? Anyone?

What about a graphtech ghost system ?

You may need to replace the Piezos you have with the graphtech and get their hex and acoustiphonic system, but it's a possibility.

I already HAVE the Ghost system. It doesn't work with the Yamaha G-50 - that's magnetic pickup only.  I got to thinking it might be cheaper to replace the pickup than the converter, and it IS a nice unit with solid tracking.

I thought you were looking for an alternate to a gk3 with some other synth or use the G50 instead. I misunderstood the ask...

Perhaps its more topically suited, but the most helpful person I was hoping would answer is probably more active here than there. I've not been exactly bowled over with their eagerness to help, particularly if you're not on the beaten path.

Yeah, I'm aware. I can buy GK3's on ebay all day long for $170, and occasionally around $100-120. The scarcity of the internal kit leaves me only with full service retailer options and $230 seems to be about the cheapest price.
