I love my Warmoth LP, and I prefer the bolt on neck. If something were to seriously damage that neck, I could just get a new one, as opposed to a Gibson, in which case I would be screwed.
I decided to get my Warmoth instead of a Gibson because I figured out that I could get exactly what I wanted for $800 less than a Les Paul Classic off the shelf with no extra bells and whistles. I was able to get incredible figuring on my maple top for half the price I would have paid Gibson for so-so flame or quilt, and I was able to get it in a blue burst. I also was able to get a thinner neck, which was something I needed because my hands are tiny. Plus I got to choose the woods I wanted, some of which are woods that Gibson doesn't use. Oh yeah, and I got a chambered body for weight relief, and a contour for high fret access.
