Naw, you get a good, lush t00b amp and play it for awhile, and you won't be missing
anything. I used to layer on tons of 'verb, delay etc back in the day; made the change
and after a bit of getting used to dry tone I never looked back ('cept of course in DAW for songs).
Plus the dry tone reveals your playing and actually forces you to be a better player IMO.
