hey everyone

I'm a newb so forgive me if this has been discussed before...

I scratch built a body to be used w/ a 24.75 conversion neck. I need to figure out where to put the holes for Gotoh TOM bridge studs. Do I do it as one would for a regular 24.75 scale neck (24.811" (±0.030") from nut to center of treble-side post; bass-side post 1/16"-1/8" further from the nut) or is there some other formula??

I assume the old standby of making the distance from the bridge to the 12th fret equal to the distance from the 12th to the nut works, or does it?

What's the deal?

Thanks!

No, keep in mind that what you have is a "conversion neck" and it does not share the same properties as a 24.75" neck that would be used on guitar like a Les Paul.  With this neck being a conversion neck, it's intended on being mounted on a body that is in the 25.5" scale.  So keep that in mind before making saw dust from your body.

Your correct with the distance from the nut to the 12th fret is the same from the 12th fret to the saddles though.
