Little Giant(s)

Mine sounds great through a Celestion Vintage 30 I have in my Blues Deluxe that I cabled it up to. The Blackheart 1x12 cabs with the "special Blackheart Eminence speakers" in them; I have a pair that my Lil' Giant sits on. They're a great value and well made.

Thanks guys. Jack, I can get an open-back avatar cab with a broken-in Celestion vintage 30 or G12h (the "hellatones") for just about $50 more than the blackheart cab, so I would probably do that. The blackheart cab did look well-made, but I think I'd rather have a open back cab and a big name speaker in there.

Maybe I'll just buy a half-dozen different tubes and start playing around with them.

Anyone recommend a website that will teach me (in English, not Klingon) how to not kill myself when futzing around inside a tube amp? All I know is, I could die, and I don't know how or why.

These amps seems so awesome and exactly what I need for the apt.,  but how do you guys deal with no reverb on the head?

Treated my AAS symptoms this week. On the way:
BH Little Giant head
Bitmo "triple bypass" mod and attenuator
Tubes (forgot the names; what Jack recommended in his post) the Sovtek AX7wb or something, and the other one.
Avatar 1x12 open back cab with a "hellatone 60" (broken-in Celestion Vintage 30).

Not very original, after reading these threads, but hey if it works!

Got the Bitmo mods already, before anything else. Damn that's a good business - $50 for a mini switch, about 6 capacitors and 5 resistors, a wire, and a three-page photocopied instruction 'manual' on the triple bypass. I don't really feel cheated because a) the mod might kick butt) and b) I'm not exactly CB with amps, so it's not like I'm going to figure it out by myself. But if it doesn't kick butt I will be disappointed. Will wire together the attenuator tonight.

Also, I came across this in my AAS hunt through the tubes of the internets: http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product/Egnater-Rebel-20-20W-Tube-Guitar-Amp-Head?sku=483496
Really, really sounds like a brilliant amp, especially for people who don't have a basement to keep a bunch of different amps in. 1 -> 20w variable output (don't understand but sounds cool); effects loop; blend between 6V6 and EL84 power tubes for Fender -> Marshall sounds. Famous name and $600. Is this the next big thing?

Oops, you're right. $50 was for the 10-u-ator. I was just surprised to see that the 'mod' was just a few radio shack parts, not sure what I was expecting though. I don't know what the hell I'm doing with this, we'll see. Head came today, no cab yet.
