I’m holding out for the Stomp version of Helix Stadium. I’ll probably be content with the Helix LT until then.
I’ve come to look at my Helix LT as being primarily for amp models, cabs, and IRs, and everything else is just there in case I really need it. Given how DSP consuming all of the reverbs, delays pitch shift, and noise gates are, I actually think it’s worth saving up for a Timeline/BigSky/Whammy DT/etc to conserve DSP. If I could do over, I might have just gotten the Stomp to throw on a pedalboard, save space, and save money.
I still like having real pedals anyway. I actually bought the Plumes and have been looking into the Timmy because I liked the models on the Helix that much.
My real question is what happens to Helix Native now? Does the new Stadium stuff just get added, or is there a new version of Native on the horizon people need to buy again? Will the download for the old Native plugin still exist on Line 6’s website? I got it for free when Line 6 was offering the "buy a Helix get free Helix Native" promotion and haven’t used it (haven’t owned an interface for a long time) but always felt like it was a nice safety net knowing I had access to it.
