Les Paul Build Arrived!

I'd just be worried down the track if you had to have someone dress the frets or whatever, and they refused to work on it, because the stainless isn't the usual fret metal.

What Autobat said. Tech don't want to work on stainless frets, or wants to charge extra? Get a new tech - you're overdue.

Hehe! Must be your first set. Nothing like them, is there? For the $20 adder Warmoth charges, I think it's foolish in the extreme to pass them up. Hell, even if you have to spend a half a day collecting returnable beer and pop cans on the side of the road, get the $20 and do it. The difference in playability is huge.

My usual guy doesn't work on SS frets. Not because he doesn't want to, he just doesn't have the necessary tooling yet. From what I hear, the SS frets are hell on tooling. But another guy in town will work on them and does a great job. Good thing is, even though Warmoth doesn't nessarily do a fret dress/level at the factory, all three of my necks with SS frets have not even needed this treatment yet. No sharp fret ends, either.

Wow, not sure how I missed this. That is an amazing top! Someday I will own some washed blue. Someday....
