I think the picture was for the sake of showing the top.  I thought the same thing about the Bigsby and 12 stings.  Mayfly seems to practical for that.

Im thinking, in order to avoid a tuning nightmare, youll have to put only the six normal strings on Bigsby and end the others on the Tele bridge.  The intonation should be OK if the saddles are compensated as well.
