This one has been a long time in the making.
The body started out as an ebay score that was represented as a one piece body.
As it was NOT a one piece body, it got color.
I'm real happy with the end result though.

This is ReRanch Lake Placid Blue over a homebrew (blue/white) primer.
Had to do the headstock.

The neck is a quartersawn SRV contour that I attacked with sandpaper.
As it was, the neckshape had a bit too much on the bass side.
It's more of an asymmetric V now.  Brazillian Rosewood fingerboard and abalone dots.

Really plays and sounds fantastic.

Naa probably not.  You always end up taking them on and off, and loosing them.
I actually have a pile of them that I have accumulated over the various builds. 
I don't use them on any of my guitars.

Also, don't use the trem cover on the back.  Again, just gets in the way.
