Somebody in my area is selling a 1960's L&K 60 watt all tube amp head (at least that's what they're calling it.) I looked it up and couldn't find anything at all about the brand or the amp. Anybody heard of it?

Unfortunately no. I asked but they haven't got a camera. It's an hour or more drive from my house so I doubt i'll go check it out if i can't find more info on it.

my experience with strange brand names has ussually been good, some of the best amps ive tried out have been crazy little companies. However my opinion would be (not knowing a great deal about the history of amps,) but im pretty sure most of the ideas that would become a must for all amps were only just created by people like marshall. This could just be my ignorance but im pretty sure unknown amp manufacturers from the early 60's werent in it to create a modern knew amp and were probably taking old ideas like having amps that werent designed to have the tubes broken. Again this could be my ignorance but its just a thought.

Peace.

Put axe in car.
Drive.
Play.

No review can show you how an amp sounds. Amps sound different according to the players touch. That's why I fondle my guitars.

I believe that would be an HHScott LK series amp - which were sold as kits in the early 60's to "hi-fi" enthusiasts.  Those were the bee's knees back then, offering a lower cost alternative to McIntosh.

I'm not sure how it would do for guitars though.  The tone stack would be totally different than what we're used to.

They didn't have any 60 watt amps, but the owner may be confusing the power consumption wattage as the output wattage.  Most were 20, 30, 45 and 70 watts I believe (been a while)
