This will be going on a chambered ash strat body with a couple fender 50's SC's and a lil '59 in the bridge.

i'm stoked about this build.  :D

Always kicked myself for ordering one of these and then having it painted black.  Stupid dumb bad me.  At least it's resting nicely on my Korina LP.  :party07:

Thanks everyone!  i'm stoked about it.

Nice.  You do not see many of those.  How is the weight??
1.31 lbs.  :icon_biggrin:

the color matches up pretty well with the chambered ash body i'm finishing for her.  it's a long way from being done though, still have to burst the edges of the body.  (and a lot of other fun stuff).

but you get the idea of where this is going.  i weighed all the parts and it's looking like a final weight around 7.25 lbs once completed.

I dont think White Korina necks get enough love.  My VIP has one and the flaming on it is something to behold.

Tasty wood choices. Is that a warmothbody? Love the grain on it
thanks!  yes it is.  i found it used on my local craigslist and it screamed "buy me now!" really loudly.  it's chambered swamp ash and very light weight.

here she is hanging in the garage.  i have some more work to do on it, but it's coming around.

That's a pretty abrupt fade on that blackburst edge - did you use the cardboard silhouette method to keep the burst that tight?

Also, I like it.  :headbang1:

it is a tight fade.  i wanted more of what i call a "rim burst", but my initial attempt had a spot that was a bit wider than the rest, so i widened it all the way around to match that area.  i didn't cover the top when i sprayed the bursted part, only when i sprayed the actual sides initially.

it's not the best pic for seeing the actual burst edge, but you're right, it's tighter than most.  :occasion14:
