KNS 6-String is officially launched!

Hi guys!

I'm the Other Aaron. I was an employee at Warmoth from 2005-2021, did QC for a big chunk of that, etc. I've been waiting for this body to come out since about 2008. I'm the owner of the original KNS body. There's a link here on Unofficial that may still have pics of the completed guitar:

Look what one of the Warmoth employees made!

I've been playing that guitar for 15+ years now, and I'll say the upper fret access is fantastic. It balances great on a strap, and since the longer upper horn pushes the guitar in a little bit, it really does feel a lot like playing a short scale.

I'm beyond excited to see this body offering now, and can't wait to see more of them in the wild.

Thanks for the insight! It looks like yours might have a larger round over than the release version?

It does make me curious about what other things are kicking about at Warmoth HQ. I always want to know about off-menu items, but it's one of those blind exercises where you won't get yes for an answer until you ask the right question.

I think you're right. Looks like the new ones have the Soloist edge radius. Looks sharp!

@Hodgo You are correct. The released version has a tighter radius than Aaron's.

Is this only available as a rear rout? The builder gives you a top rout option but I don’t see pickguards for it.

I just realized this is also giving me Nuno N-1 vibes. There certainly seems to be enough material up top for an off-menu upper horn toggle in the LP position, I’ve never asked about something on the right side of the pickups though.

Upper toggle is Tele only, booooo.

No, it's also Regal, Meadowhawk, Nomad & Mooncaster
