Hi, I am starting a new project. The neck is all I am waiting on. Here is a list.
sea foam green swamp ash strat style body
white pearloid pickgaurd and back plate
seymour duncan "everything" pickups ( lil' 59 neck, duckbucker middle, jb jr. bridge)
    chrome speed knobs
chrome hipshot modern contour tremolo with tremstter
    chrome schaller strap locks
    custom etched neck plate
chrome and black planet waves trim lock tuners
warmoth pro cbs, AAA birdseye neck with abalone dot inlays, graphite nut, 6130 frets and vintage tint finish
Its been about 4 weeks since the neck was ordered.
This will be my first warmoth neck. 8 to 12 weeks was the estimated time of arrival.
Is this generally how long it takes for a custom neck?

That's a nice one. I like the... um... oh. There's nothing here at all. See here I was hoping to see someone's new project.

To answer your question: I've only ordered a couple necks, but they have been faster than advertised. But you're 4 weeks into an what was estimated to be 8-12 weeks. I'll give you a random and baseless guess if you put up some photos of what you do have.

Not much to see yet.
I am actually still waiting on the tremolo. I originally purchased a wilkinson tremolo which I ended up putting on another guitar.

Hey! I have that exact same body, you copycat!  :evil4: Seriously though, good choice; should be cool. Mine's actually surf green (tomayto/tomahto, i know), and I'm going with a tortoise shell pickguard and more conventional hardware. So they should look nothing alike.  :laughing7:

As for your actual question: when I ordered the neck for my LPS I got a similar estimate, and got it in a little over half that time. I can't say whether or not that's the exception or the norm, but that was my experience.

They told me 6-8 weeks for an unfinished neck. I got it right around the end of the 4th week.
