Yes thanks a lot.  This is my second build.  The first was a body mounted strat so I was confused by the earlier comment in this string about it being to late to body mount since the pickup cavity was already router.

As for the control plate, I don't think I need that either since the controls were rear routed.

If that is the pic of the body you bought, the controls are very much top routed.

The Tele pickguard still leaves a lot exposed. I'd probably put a pearloid pickguard on it.

Hey Autobat, this is Jcurl02, sorry about the confusion.  This is not the body I'm talking about.  As StubHead mentioned I also ordered a Tele body but mine is being built now and is rear routed with standard Tele Pickup cavities.

I was concerened when I read a line from LRaymond that he could not mount his pickups to the body because the cavities were already routed. 

"It's been confirmed that the body was already routed for standard pup mounting, so it looks like it's a PG or pup ring this time (THIS TIME!)" LRaymond

I thought maybe I was missing something but you confirmed my understanding.  You confirmed that I can direct mount the pickups to the body by drilling pilot holes and using springs or foam.  This is exactly what I did on my last build.  I was just thrown for a loop by the previous comment .

I'm about three weeks into my wait.  As soon as I get my pats, I'll post some pictures.
