She sounds and plays beautifully!  A chambered black Korina hardtail strat in Black to Clear burst finish.  The 2nd tone knob is actually a blender knob for the neck and bridge pickup.

Nice looking axe! Congratulations!

How do you like that Babicz bridge?  It's certainly an attractive part.

Thanks!  I like it... I didn't have a previous bridge to compare it to but it sustains very well and feels good on the palm while playing.  Another reason I went with this bridge was for its weight.  I went with all lightweight parts and the whole guitar came in a 6lb2oz.

Very sweet looking Strat! Looks "together", as in it looks like it belongs that way. Congrats on a great build.  :icon_thumright:

I'm thinking black to clear or tobacco burst is the best finish for black korina.  I'm curious about the saddles.  That is not a normal intonation position.

Nice. Can we get some specs?

Sure!

Chambered Black Korina Hardtail Strat body
One piece Maple Neck (Standard Thin - Vintage Modern) with 12 radius and 22 Stainless Steel Medium Jumbo frets
Babicz Aluminum Bridge
Gotoh Stealth Locking Tuners
Neck and Bridge pickups from a 2007 American Standard Strat
Three Way Switch with Blender Pot (1st position - Bridge pickup only, 2nd position Bridge pickup with neck blended in, 3rd position neck with bridge blended in)
Total assembled weight: 6lb2oz

I think my custom switching system will work great for live... if you need to mellow out your bridge pickup.. you can dial in a bit of neck pick up... and vice versa.  Then the bridge pickup alone is always there as a quick option in position 1 to get a biting lead tone at the flick of a switch.

Man that is sharp. Nicely done! So is the middle pickup a dummy?

Yep.  Funny story about that... I was contemplating what to do for the middle pickup being empty.  So I cut a piece of a tin can and stuck it inside an empty pickup cover for the middle pickup lol

Cool.
My Warmoth Strat is also a hardtail with the one piece Maple, Standard Thin, Vintage Modern Neck with 12" radius and 22 Stainless Steel Medium Jumbo (6150) frets.
I can't believe how light yours is.

And since the middle pickup doesn't have to be anywhere near the strings, you can set it really low, so it doesn't get in the way of your picking!

Great taste!  Yeah, keeping the weight down was a goal I had in mind.  I used all lightweight parts, the aluminum bridge and stealth tuners shave off about a half pound or more comparing to standard parts just there.  Not having a middle pickup and the aluminum neck plate shaved off about another 1/4 lb.

Exactly!

Really outstanding! Guitar, it's sound, and your playing!

Thanks guys!  I'm really happy with how this guitar turned out... my all-time #1 for everything but hard rock/metal for sure!
