That's a great price. Which model is it? I think they updated the whammy once or twice.

I've used one once live, and a good way to tell if it's on if your moniter is off is to push it all the way forward, and play the top of the neck. If that doesn't get people ducking for cover, nothing will.

I've always wanted one of those things, but it seems as though it would only see very limited use, and at the price it's a bit much for a gimmick.

You can buy those new here for very close to the same price. 112 pounds is about $175 plus shipping to the US, assuming he'd do it, so call it $200. A new Whammy w/ warranty is $199 w/ free shipping from Musician's Friend.

Just checking completed sales of used Whammys on eBay, it seems they typically go for between 40 and 80 pounds ($60 to $120), tending toward the lower end. I may have to pick one up after all.
