Noticed this recently. I have a little Yamaha solid state practice amp and it has killer tone with my "got it for free" Mao-caster strat knock-off. Plug in a handbuilt guitar or my American Deluxe with all the Seymour Duncan's and high end parts, they don't sound half as good on that amp. Take that same Mao-caster over to my old Blues Junior or Helix and it sounds like a cat fight in the alley. I guess everything finds it's own level and functions best there. Odd. Things that keep me up at night, like why is there a permanent press setting on an iron?

Just to help you sleep.

Suppose you are a dressmaker or tailor, you need a permanent press setting to do permanent presses on things you may be making.

Forgive the pedantry...

"Permanent press" is a chemical thing in the fabric of the clothes, per Wiki.  Presumably, the "permanent press" setting is a lower temperature so that you don't inadvertently undo the chemical thing when ironing permanent-press clothes.

As to why you'd iron them, well, they can still get wrinkled by being in a hamper/basket/drawer, just generally not the dryer.

I've been tumbled, it was a tongue in cheek reply...

Blasted internet and it's lack of tone!  Can never tell when people are being snarky...

Yeah, it needs a 250k pot to get the proper tone ... :icon_jokercolor:

I am sometimes dry with humour in real life, not so much tumble dried though  :laughing7:

Why is there Braille on drive-up ATMs?

If 7/11 is open all night, then why are there locks on the doors?

Why do they call Wednesday "Hump Day", when most people get lucky on the weekend?  :icon_jokercolor:

Depends - are those 'guitar boards' you're talking about?  :headbang:
