Just a tad Ridiculous....

You know what would be a real big problem? If any of these big named companies like Gibson, PRS, or Fender ever decide to use a thin maple veneer or, worse yet, laser printing, to get those really fancy maple tops. I've seen really really cheap Japanese knock off guitars that use that printing for the maple top and I gotta be honest, it's hard to tell a difference.

It's not for sale, but imagine how much that one would cost...

This one wins. Hands down.

Yeah, but instead of having an engraved portrait of CF Martin on the back it should be Eric Clapton. His MTV Unplugged session basically saved that company from going under.

don't get me wrong, Martin is my favorite acoustic guitars

You have to admit though, that's a cool picture.  It's almost desktop background worthy.

It's really simple.

Gibson needs the money for legal fees in light of recent visitations to their factory by certain individuals in authoritive positions...

I saw the clones of this in a catalog a few years ago.  IIRC it was like $500,000-750,000USD

It's hard to be as awesome as Billy Gibbons.
This is true, I'd rather spend 30 min. with the Rev. Willy G., than all day with just about any other notable guitar player... :icon_thumright:

He is my all time guitar hero.  He has made some really bad songs, and still, I don't care.  There is no one more awesome than Billy.  "Graze that twine to make it whine".

Haha I understand your opinion, but just because I studied arts in college makes me like the guitar :P

There's a lot of momentum built up in the industry - still - based on those $400,000 "original" Les Pauls, and the Wall Street Journal, Barrons, and Fortune articles extolling guitars as a better investment than stocks. Of course, these are the same sources that just a few short years ago were claiming that Enron was a great investment, Lehman Brothers was the place to park your money and you could never go wrong buying blue chip stocks like General Motors. So liquidate your Beanie Babies & buy guitars, already.

For $25,000 you could probably get in touch his management and get him to give you one of his ACTUAL guitars.
