Does anyone overhere have a pic with both guitars on it. I just want to see how big/ small a velocity is in comparission to a jazzmaster.

I like both bodyshapes, because there a bit different.

Velocity vs. Jazzmaster...

Wow, the Velocity is a cute little bugger. I didn't realize they're that small. Looks good.

It's a tad smaller than average, but that's somewhat exaggerated by the Jazzmaster being larger than average. Where you really feel it is when standing - the JM's neck is mounted a bit farther up the (longer) body, so it hangs out to your left more. If you were used to playing the Velocity or a Les Paul, strapping on a JM feels like baritone with skinny strings.

That is quite a disparity in physical size. I happen to prefer larger sized bodies, so I can tell right now I'd never order a Velocity for myself. I was never a fan of Jaguar/Jazzmaster bodies as far as looks, until I strapped on one..... MAN, comfy! Love those offset bodies like a Jazz Bass.

I'm a pretty big guy, and like big bodied axes as well. The looks of a velocity are really appealing, but on the small side.

I used to own a japanese jazzmaster. I loved how it felt, but hated the crappy bridge and tremolo.

Nowadays i use the trem a lot more, and was thinking about a double locking trem in a JM. But this has limitations as well. Different tunings, ease of changing strings.

I truly believe a single locking trem is worth givin a shot, with a well cut nut
and locking tuners it can't be bad.
