Just a quick note of warning about the company Jack O' Roses, Do not order from this guy Brian, if you don't want to loose your money.  He has horrible customer service skills and I have still not received my order after 4 months.  Emails and phone calls are not returned without a lot of effort.

I agree with you to an extent. He won't return emails or calls, and takes forever. however you will eventually get your parts, it'll just take several months. Unfortunately if you want the brass Irwin like parts, there isn't anyone else around.

the only extent i don't agree with you is I am happy cause i finally got the parts :)

Hey szabo2,
It's entirely possible that your complaint is valid, but spamming the board with it will not win you any supporters. Just so you know. :icon_thumright:

On that note, see if you can get the other posts deleted. This is the right place.

I can't believe anybody would be stoopid enough to order something off that site.... You waiting on the $24.99 brass strap buttons?

Hello szabo2, welcome to the board. Please do not put the same post in multiple locations here.

We appreciate you sharing your experience with us. We've had only one official complaint, (yours), to Warmoth on them over the years. As a footnote: Warmoth is not "in business" with Jack O'Roses, or anyone else we may link to or speak of on our website.

+1.

And some of the very ugliest parts I have ever seen were to be found on that website.

For the love of God, can somebody please tell me what the fudge is this?

it seams, yet again, if it's not "new" and "factory like"  it must be crap.. god forbid you take a deep breadth and  accept something that does not look just like some name brand thing..
some of us like the odd man out.. but we don't demean the people who feel the need to faithfully copy the status quo!
sorry for the rant I'm just tired of you demeaning any thing different.. at least all the pup covers are the same color..

To the original poster:  What is the lead time you were quoted for parts?  4 months seems long to wait, unless they said so up front.  If they told you up front that there would be a wait, as these parts seem to be handmade-ish, as opposed to manufactured, well, then quidgeourbigeon.

That would be showing his parts for some looking to make a guitar like Jerry's alligator guitar.
It was a strat given to him by I think graham nash (I may be wrong on that) that he customized to get what he wanted from it. Some people just chasing the jerry tone

I ran a thread about this company's humbucker adaptor rings for mini humbuckers awhile back.

I emailed them with an enquiry and a few days later got a reply. Given the time differences between me and the business, that's acceptable.

I still have not done any business with them however.

If there's another company that can offer pickup mounting rings for mini humbuckers, that cover the whole full sized humbucker rout, then I'd like to know. But at this stage Jack O Roses seems the only company offering them.

I think they also are the only ones offering a lot of the 'Jerry/Irwin' style guitar hardware in the one place, and they were wise enough to look at the Warmoth body designs as their template.

I've been meaning to reply to this, but if ou want the parts, and aren' tin a rush order them. You'll eventually get the parts, it just may take a while.
Everything I got from him is top notch, his customer service just needs some help.

You gotta have more than 1 post, (100 would be better) for us to take your bashing of Jack O Rose serious, It's like you came here for only one reason, and that's not why we are here, this is a possitive Board, usually...

not trying to spam the posts.  more of an fyi here guys but thanks for filling me in on the site.  i would think other people contemplating doing business with this  company would like a few reviews first.  that was my reason for posting anything.

no lead time given.  if this guy would do me the courtesy of returning emails/phone calls i wouldn't have issue.

I have no experience with JOR, so I can't comment on them.  But I will say that I absolutely HATE it when I'm buying something and I feel like I'm being ignored.  I will gladly drive across town to patronize a  store if it means better customer service.

So long as you eventually receive your product, I would voice your displeasure to the company, then vote with your dollar and shop elsewhere.  Good of you to share your experience, that sounds like all you can do in this case.

Here's my two cents...

I ordered, and eventually, received my parts from Brian (Jack of Roses). It took FOREVER...like three months. When I ordered I was told it would be 2-3 weeks. It took many emails to get few responses. I felt like it would have been even longer if I hadn't got a little pushy towards the end.

On the bright side, the parts are top quality for sure! So, if you're prepared for the wait, then it's worth ordering!

Rob

From what I've heard, his emails to the company were rude, derogatory, disrespectful & defaming.
