J-Bass Shaped Guitar

A coworker wants a Jazz Bass shaped guitar.  Thoughts?

I could easily mock one up.
Give me a few minutes.

The main problem will be the huge space between the bridge and the end of the body.

One thing I thought about is that a J-Bass scaled down to guitar size probably wouldn't accommodate Warmoth's standard rear control cavity.

Go look at a Jazzmaster and then a Jazz Bass.  They are not the same shape.

lol... nice!  Now, that makes me want one with a Tele bridge, Strat middle and neck pickups, a 5-way switch with a Tele tip where the neck volume would be on the J-Bass!!!

I'm liking the J bass pickguard and control plate.
Mine would have a tune-o-matic string through with either dual hums or dual p-90's, OR a Hum in the bridge and a p-90 in the neck. :toothy10:

Silver with Tortise 'guard. chrome hardware. Rosewood board. Dude I am serious this is a good idea!

Max, what did you do that in, Photoshop?  Wish I had those skills.  I dink around with GIMP, and I know I can't do anything like that.

EDIT:  Seriously, I want to see a Tele bridge and a Tele style layout on the control plate.

No. I can't. I'm lazy, and the only matching bodies are not routed for those bridges. Just imagine a hole.
