J-bass shaped guitar body.

How would this look with a tremolo? The pickguard isn't that big.

I already asked him to do a Strat bridge or a Floyd and he said he was too lazy. :icon_jokercolor:
'Told me to imagine a hole.

I would consider one of those for a future guitar.  I just bought my first Warmoth today actually.  Strat body made of zebrawood and a padouk neck with pau ferro fretboard.  Cant wait till im playing it.  :headbang1:

I know I'm going Dr. Frankenstein (pronounced Fronkinsteen) on here, but I know I can make full scale templates/drawings now.

I was wondering what warmoth would call it if they made it one of the body shape options. Jazz bass shaped guitar? J-bass shaped guitar?  Jazz guitar? J-guitar? J-tar?

Gotta be Jazzcaster and I want one

P.S. forgot to say, Max you spend too much time on photoshop but I am glad you do. You fuel the GAS and your mock-ups are truly inspirational, even if at times a little out there.

I want. Very much. One thing though, I think the body should be bigger in relation to the neck than it was in the mockups. I know they're just mockups so obviously I'm not complaining about the job you did Max (which was great anyway  :icon_thumright: ) but in case Gregg is programming his CNC machine right now it should be big.  :laughing8:

Anyone else ever wanted a p-bass shaped guitar? Idk exactly how that would work... a strat is already almost the exact same thing but I've always wanted a mini-pbass as a gutiar.

I'll adjust the size a bit. And I'll make a p-bass shape guitar. I think it'll resemble the Squier 51.

Ooh, anyone know of a P-style guitar pickup? I bet Nordstrand could make one. I might need a baritone P...

G&L makes them, and somebody made them (looks like Lace) for the John Jorgenson Signature Strat.  I apologize for the orientation.  That's how photbucket loaded them, I even corrected it in photobucket.

FWIW, Knucklehead G, EMG (and many others) makes a P-bass pickup that fits in a guitar sized humbucker housing.  They are used on Steinberger basses.  For a baritone, I'd use a guitar pickup instead of a bass pickup anyway.

Presidents of the United States of America (remember them?) converted a guitar into a bass & a bass into guitar.  3 string Basitar & 2 string Guitbass is what they called them.

And they sound amazing live. Saw them summer '08, was in the front row. My hearing hasn't fully recovered, and my memories are a little hazy from that night, but I'm pretty sure it was amazing. People started moshing to "Peaches," which did confuse me a bit.
